Christmas is a time of giving, goodwill, and of community. It’s a time to think about others and, for brand and web agency PLOTT it’s long been a time to give back. Some years ago PLOTT MD Anna Plotnek decided not to give the usual corporate gifts to her clients. Instead, she chose to use that budget and make an annual donation to support local charities.
This year, the team at PLOTT chose the “Christmas Emergency Fund Appeal”, which was conceived to attract donations of money and food for local Food Banks. This is an excellent way to get your donations direct to those people in your community who need it the most. The charity recipient was chosen, and it was time to get to work. Anna set about recruiting friends from the Chamber network to donate money or food.
The Food Drive was a success, with donations from PLOTT, OnLogistics, Katie Hale, Burley Browne and RotoSpa. Others generously donated money, and PLOTT have been delighted with the overall response. They would like to thank: Ark, tmWare, G Comms, The Fig & Olive Restaurant, ORS and AF Selection for their financial contributions.

The response was excellent, with car-boots full of food delivered – along with just over one thousand pounds donated. Care was taken to supply the Food Bank with staple items such as tinned vegetables, but also some necessities and treats fit for Christmas Day. Selection boxes for the kids, gravy, stuffing and snacks.
